To find the answer to this question, they went to a high school – one of the most important laboratories in the real world.
High school experiment
The researchers divided the students into three groups. The first group eats healthy breakfast foods with low blood sugar (such as eggs, oatmeal and fruit), the second group of breakfast is high blood sugar (like muffins and donuts) and the third group is not at all. Eat breakfast.
The high school teacher did not know which group of students was and was asked to rate each student’s behavior and academic performance between 8 and 10:30 in the morning.

Among the three groups of students, the performance of behavior and learning from 8:00 to 10:30 for a healthy breakfast far exceeded that of other students.
Students who ate high blood sugar had a good rating at the beginning, but when the time began to approach 10:30, they began to be impatient and gradually lost their attention.
Those who did not eat breakfast at all were very poorly rated. They show more discipline and inactivity – not considering their academic history, ethnicity and socioeconomic status.

important! However, the really interesting discovery came from the time after the students had finished eating healthy snacks. After the snacks, the differences in behavior and performance of the three groups of students disappeared. They all got almost the same score afterwards.
What happened between this?
So what can we draw from this research? It is clear that breakfast is important, but most of us use the importance of breakfast as an excuse to eat whatever we want. Jam pies may be better than nothing, but the study shows that they are not effective. And whether or not you have breakfast, if you add some healthy snacks to yourself, then you will be more focused and energetic afterwards.
So having breakfast is not the most important thing. What really matters is what you will do for your breakfast. What you eat will have a profound impact on your willpower. In order to use your willpower, the brain needs a specific source of energy to make something called glucose made by the body. Glucose in the blood is provided by the food we digest.
(sugar, muffins, jam pies) provide a little bit of glucose accompanied by a sudden decrease in glucose. This will give you a quick acceleration of your willpower, but it will not last. That’s why students who ate unhealthy breakfasts performed well for an hour and then began to go downhill.
Hypoglycemic foods (efficient proteins, fruits, vegetables) provide a long-lasting supply of sustained glucose – sustainable willpower. That’s why students who have had a healthy breakfast can perform well in the first phase, and why the three groups of students performed well afterwards.
This discovery may sound quite obvious, but what it implies may be more important than you think.
The amazing importance of glucose
Not all people are effectively able to produce glucose as effectively as others in the body system. For example, people with diabetes and hypoglycemia are more difficult to maintain a continuous glucose supplier than others. This means that if they do not have the problem of glucose deficiency through drugs, they may encounter some very serious problems.
